Musician Billy Joel and celebrity chef Katie Lee are through.

According to both party’s representatives, the couple has decided to put an end to their five-year marriage after “much thought and consideration”. No apparent reasons for the breakup have been disclosed yet at the time of this writing, but their publicists do assure readers that the couple separated on amiable terms.

“Billy & Katie remain caring friends with admiration and respect for each other,” an official statement reports.

This will be the third marriage breakup for Billy Joel, having been married before to his business manager before being married to model Christie Brinkley. Billy has one daughter, Alexa Ray, from his marriage with Brinkley.
