Hollie Steel, the 10-year-old singing ballerina from Lancashire, broke down on stage as she forgot the words to Edelweiss half way through her performance on the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent.
After she burst into tears, the youngster begged to start over again, and she was told that she couldn’t. However, Simon Cowell promised Hollie that she would get a second chance to perform later in the show.
After the break, Hollie returned to the stage and made it to the end of her performance. And it was enough to win her a place in the final.
Simon described her as “the bravest girl in the world.” He told Hollie that she “nailed the last note.” Piers Morgan said “it was one of the gutsiest things I’ve ever seen in my life.” Amanda Holden described Hollie as “a little professional.”
