Brittany Murphy’s official death cause yet to be determined
Brittany Murphy‘s cause of death will not be determined until the LA’s coroners autopsy of the body is finished, but speculations about the actress’ death are pointing that anorexia may have played a part in her death.
Officials said that there’s no foul play suspected in the actress’ cardiac arrest Sunday morning but her father, Angelo Bertolotti, tells Us Magazine he doesn’t buy it.
“Brittany never had a heart problem before, so I don’t understand how she died,” said Bertolotti. “This doesn’t make sense to me.”
An official cause of death may not be determined for around six to 8 weeks, since toxicology tests will be required, but “it appears to be natural,” said L.A. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter.
Celebrity website TMZ, which first broke the news, reported there was “a significant amount of vomit” in the bathroom area where Murphy was found unconscious in the shower. TMZ said Murphy “was taking medication for ‘flu-like symptoms for several days”, and “there were a lot of prescriptions in the house”.
Brittany Murphy is best known for her performances in films such as Just Married, Clueless, Girl Interrupted, 8 Mile and Sin City.
