Here is your chance to live in the Stone Age–living with more luxury than Fred Flintstone ever dreamed of.

A cave with all the amenities of modern life– a kitchen, laundry room and even a party room is now available on eBay!

The Sleeper family who turned the 17,000 square foot cave in Festus, Missouri, into a unique home is now being auctioned on the website, with bids starting at $300,000.

Curt Sleeper told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he and his family, like so many others, are victims of the economic crisis.

The family is hoping to raise enough money so they can stay. But if things don’t go as planned, they will give it up.

“We don’t want to move,” he said. “But we need to protect our equity. We put everything we had into this home.”

The family is seeking bank support via mortgage refinancing, but so far has been unsuccessful.

Could they make enough money by offering to let the public have access to it for say a year? Charge admittence to visit by appointment, Charge for weddings? Or receptions?… or offer it to Hollywood to use it to film a movie in…or write a book about the the “Boy who lived in a cave”, Explaining how it was found, built and what it is like to live in it as well as what it is like for the son to grow up in it.
There has got to be sohow they can keep this home!…OPRAH…Ty Pennington, .. Somebody help these good folks!

A rental program or time-share program of sorts could work for them? It'd provide a constant source of income…unless this is their home year-round.
