Chivas de Guadalajara vs. FC Barcelona

After playing exhibitions against the Los Angeles Galaxy and Seattle Sounders, Spanish giants FC Barcelona will wrap up its North American tour with a game against Mexican powerhouse Chivas de Guadalajara.

Tonight’s match will serve as the second game of a doubleheader that will see the San Jose Earthquakes host the Columbus Crew in the opener.

Last Saturday, David Beckham silenced some fans and sent others into frenzy with a first half goal via free kick but that wasn’t enough as Barca held on for the win.

On Wednesday, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi scored twice to lift the Spanish side to a 4-0 victory against Seattle. A sell-out crowd of 67,000 watched Barcelona hand the local team in bright green some soccer lessons.

Game time is 11:00 p.m. ET (5 a.m. CET) at the Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

UPDATE: Striker Bojan Krkic scored an equalizer and Barca completed its North American tour unbeaten, tying Chivas 1-1 in an exhibition game that attracted the largest crowd to a Bay Area soccer match since the 1999 Women’s World Cup.

Ramon Morales put the Mexican squad on top in the 50th minute but Bojan tied the score 14 minutes later for the Spanish giants.
