Clinton Bush Haiti Fund: A Private fundraising drive for Haiti quake victims
Barack Obama together with 2 former US Presidents, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, stood united outside the White House Saturday morning to launch The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, a private fundraising drive for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
“These two leaders send an unmistakable message to the people of Haiti and the world,” Obama said with Bush and Clinton behind him. “In a moment of need, the United States stands united.”
The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund was created to recognize the tremendous need for recovery and rebuilding of Haiti after the devastating January earthquake that hit the country. US President Barack Obama has asked the two former leaders to lead a major fundraising effort to raise funds for immediate relief and long-term recovery of those who are most in need of food, water, shelter, medical care, and support.
The Fund is open for donations from individuals, corporations and organizations to help Haiti recover and rebuild. You can visit their donation page to contribute.
