Couple with same first and last name to wed after meeting online

In October, a man from Texas named Kelly Hildebrandt and a woman from Florida, also named Kelly Hildebrandt, will tie the knot.

The couple met when Kelly the girl looked up her own name on Facebook. Three weeks after their first online encounter, Kelly from Texas decided to fly to Florida to see Kelly the girl in person.

Eight months after that innocent Facebook message, Kelly proposed to Kelly. They say they’ve looked back through ancestry records 250 years to confirm they’re not related.

  • What's most interesting about this article is how the authors has differentiated the two. It was "Kelly the girl" and "Kelly from Texas". She's obviously not a 'girl', but grown woman. That the author chose to not indicate him as 'Kelly the boy' is interesting.
