Daniel Radcliffe Swears Off Alcohol
“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe is moving away from alcoholic drinks while it’s early.
In an interview for GQ’s August edition, Radcliffe said he decided to quit drinking altogether after realizing that he was becoming reliant on alcohol to have fun. “I became so reliant on (alcohol) to enjoy stuff. There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me,” the 21-year-old actor said.
Radcliffe, who would soon say goodbye to his role as the wizard Harry Potter, said that he started becoming a teetotal in August last year. He said that his idea of fun now involves just talking to people he love. “I’d just rather sit at home and read, or go out to dinner with someone, or talk to someone I love, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh,” he said.
The final “Harry Potter” film, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II” will hit theaters in the U.K. and U.S. on July 15.
