David Beckham to stay with AC Milan
David Beckham will stay with AC Milan until the end of the Serie A season after reaching an agreement with the Los Angeles Galaxy, the BBC reported on Friday.
At the end of the season, the 33-year-old former England captain will rejoin the Galaxy, and then return to Italy after the end of the Major League Soccer campaign.
Beckham was scheduled to return to L.A. on March 9, but wants to make a permanent move to the San Siro.
The final accord to effectively “timeshare” Beckham between the two football clubs is also reported to have been part-funded by the English midfielder himself.
Galaxy had been hesitant to let him go but it now seems the two teams have reached a compromise.
Beckham is eager to play for a top club to boost his chances of representing England at the World Cup in 2010.
