Spain Leads Davis Cup Final 2-0: Spain vs Czech Republic
Davis Cup defending champion Spain took a 2-0 lead over the Czech Republic after David Ferrer produced one of the greatest Davis Cup comebacks of all time. Ferrer put Spain in a commanding lead after the first day’s play.
Earlier, Rafael Nadal beat Tomas Berdych 7-5, 6-0, 6-2 in the first singles match on the clay court at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona that gave Spain the early lead.
Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco can clinch Spain’s fourth title today with a doubles win over Lukas Dlouhy and Jan Hajek in the best-of-five finals format.

As if a 3-0 victory wasn’t enough, Spain has now become the first nation since 1997 to win a Davis Cup Final 5-0, after victories for Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer in Sunday’s dead rubbers.
