Elizabeth Taylor dead at 79
Elizabeth Taylor, the Hollywood actress who was known for her beauty and many marriages, died Wednesday in Los Angeles from congestive heart failure. According to reports, her children were at her side when she passed away. She was 79.
Taylor died “peacefully today in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles,” said Taylor’s publicist. She was hospitalized six weeks ago with congestive heart failure, “a condition with which she had struggled for many years. Though she had recently suffered a number of complications, her condition had stabilized and it was hoped that she would be able to return home. Sadly, this was not to be.”
Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor, (27 February 1932 – 23 March 2011), also known as Liz Taylor, was an English-American actress. A former child star, she grew to be known for her acting talent and beauty, as well as her Hollywood lifestyle, including many marriages.
