Facebook Showcases Profile Layout Changes
Its aim is to make the profile more personal.
Facebook unveiled a new layout in member’s profile pages that are designed to make them more focus on the personal level rather than on the chronological events of friend’s activities.
Changes include a larger profile picture and a ribbon of five recent pictures, which can be set whether it will feature only pictures uploaded by the member or to include those that were tagged by friends.
Members will also have the option to feature the friends that are important to them. It will also show the relationship between the member and the friends such as showing comments they have exchanged.
Biographical information will be moved from the left side to the top of the page just above the ribbon of recent pictures. What’s replacing the left side is the member’s wall and which will no longer feature in tabs.
The new features will rollout early next year.
