First pointless knife to go on sale

The first pointless knife is due to go on sale later this year in Britain. It works just like your regular kitchen knife, but its rounded tip makes it difficult to stab someone.

John Cornock, 42, is the mastermind behind it. The industrial designer was inspired to create the product after watching a documentary on knife crime.

He said: “The idea began as a means of crime prevention, but is also something that promotes safety in the home. It’s not going to fall off a kitchen surface and stab you in the foot.”

Hmmm… so it’s not entirely pointless.

The ‘anti-stab’ knife is expected to cost between £40 and £50 (around $65-80).
