Game 2: Texas Rangers vs. San Francisco Giants Live Stream (Free Online Video)
World Series 2010 Live Stream: National League champion San Francisco Giants hammered Cliff Lee and the rest of the Texas Rangers Wednesday night at the AT&T Park in an 11-7 victory in Game One of Major League Baseball’s 106th World Series.
The Giants are gunning for their first title since 1954, while the Rangers are aiming for their first World Series championship in their 50-year history. Thirteen previous teams have won the Fall Classic in their first appearance, as Ron Washington’s men are trying to do this year.
Lee had been exceptional in the playoffs, but on Wednesday the 32-year-old pitcher struggled due to a lack of his usually precise control. San Francisco sent eleven batters to the plate in the sixth inning that chased Lee from the mound. The 2008 Cy Young Awardee also didn’t get a lot of help from his defense as the Rangers committed four errors.
However, a Game 1 victory doesn’t guarantee anything and it is very important that Bruce Bochy’s side win tonight to avoid going down to Texas with the Series tied 1-1 if they hope to win the title.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.
UPDATE: Matt Cain dominated the Texas Rangers in Game 2 of the 2010 Fall Classic, helping San Francisco grab a 9-0 victory. The win gave the Giants a comfortable 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Series, which shifts to Texas for Game 3 on Saturday.
