Lakers star Kobe Bryant finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists but it was Ron Artest who became the last second hero of the night.

Artest, the 2004 NBA Defensive Player of the Year scored a game-winning shot after rebounding Bryant’s short 3-point attempt to lift the Lakers to a 3-2 series lead over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. You can watch Artest’s game winning shot HERE.

“I’ve very happy for [Ron],” said Bryant, who had 30 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists. “But we’ll leave it here and go up there and try to win one.”

Game 6 of the Western Conference finals is schedule to be played in Phoenix. The game starts at 8:30 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: The Los Angeles Lakers will advance to the 2010 NBA Finals to face Boston Celtics after defeating the Suns 111-103 in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals.
