George Harrison to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame star
The Beatles’ late guitarist, George Harrison, is getting his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A star honoring Harrison, who died of cancer in 2001, at age 58, will be officially unveiled on April 14. His will be the 2,382nd on the Walk.
The Beatles as a band have a star already, and John Lennon has his very own.
Harrison’s wife Olivia and son Dhani are expected to attend the ceremony which will be held in front of Hollywood’s Capitol Records building.
He wrote many of the Beatles’ top hits including “Here Comes The Sun,” “Something,” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.”
After the band split up in 1970, Harrison pursued a solo career and had a global hit with the song “My Sweet Lord.”
