Lady Gaga Dominates Brit Awards
Eccentric U.S. singer Lady Gaga scored a perfect 3 for 3 at the 30th edition of the Brit Awards, winning in all the categories that she was nominated for. The 23-year-old won as best International Solo Artist, International Breakthrough Act, and International Album for the best-selling “The Fame.”
Gaga, who was in a lace outfit and mask with a huge wig, thanked her fans for their support. “My fans were the first people to believe in me. Thank you so much,” she said. The flamboyant singer also paid a tribute to fashion designer Alexander McQueen, who died last week in what appeared to be a suicide.
Other winners included rapper Jay-Z for Best International Male Solo Artist, Lily Allen for Best British Female Solo Artist, and Robbie Williams for Outstanding Contribution Award. Rock band Oasis was also honored with the Best Brits Album of the past 30 years with “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?”
