Lewis Hamilton wins Singapore GP

McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton led from start to finish to claim his second victory of the season at the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday. It was the 11th win of the Briton’s career.

“It was a very, very tough race,” he said. “I got a good start and I just managed to bridge a big enough gap.”

Timo Glock finished in a surprise second place in his Toyota, while Fernando Alonso finished third in his Renault.

Brawn’s championship rivals, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, finished fifth and sixth, while Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel came fourth.

With three rounds remaining Button needs only to score five points more than Barrichello at the next race to win the world title.
