Lou Diamond Phillips was declared the winner of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Wednesday night’s finale.

Viewers of the reality TV show chose the 47-year-old actor over former WWE star Torrie Wilson and ex-NBA player John Salley after they had spent 24 days in the jungles of Costa Rica.

“This experience has proven to be so much greater than I expected it to be,” said Phillips. “I expected it to be a competition.  I expected it to be hard.  What I did not expect was the emotional bonds that we’ve created, the foundation of relationships that will go on from here.”

Phillips will receive a large donation for his chosen charity, Art Has Heart, a non-profit organization that gives college scholarships to high school students in need.
