Chicago man arrested in Erin Andrews’ nude video case
It looks like the Erin Andrews Peeping Tom case has been solved. According to reports, the feds have arrested a Chicago man in connection with the nude videos made of the sexy ESPN sportscaster in her hotel room.
Michael David Barrett, 48, was apprehended at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport on Friday after a trip from Buffalo. He was charged with interstate stalking for allegedly filming and then attempting to sell the nude videos of Andrews on TMZ.
The tapes surfaced in July. At least six clips showed the sportscaster walking around (in the nude) inside her hotel rooms in Nashville and Milwaukee in 2008. The videos were shot using a peephole camera.
The gossip website refused to buy or air them because they were an obvious invasion of Erin’s privacy. But several TV networks and newspapers aired brief clips or printed screen grabs from a blurry five-minute video.
The feds learned that Barrett checked into the same hotels at that time and asked for rooms adjacent to Andrews.
