Mariah Carey Backs Out from a Movie
Singer Mariah Carey has backed out from a movie which is supposed to start filming within a few days. Apparently, her doctor advised her not to proceed with the project. Rumors began circulating that she might be pregnant.
“She is not doing the movie because her doctor advised her not to,” her representative said to UsMagazine.com. “More than that I cannot comment further.”
Carey, 41 and husband Nick Cannon, 29, have been married for two years and has been consistently rumored to be pregnant. Earlier this month, Cannon said a hint that a little one might be on the way.
The film Carey dropped is the Tyler Perry‘s adaptation of the 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf by Ntozake Shange.
Carey has a number of film appearances. Her latest film works include roles in You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Tennessee, Precious and Sex and the City 2. Her first film role was in 1999 as the character Ilana in The Bachelor which starred Chris O’Donnell and Renée Zellweger.
