Martin Short’s Wife Dies
Nancy Dolman, comedian Martin Short‘s wife of 30 years, has died, the actor’s representative confirmed on Monday.
However, Short’s rep, Camille Kuznetz, refused to divulge details about the passing of the 58-year-old Dolman. “Sadly, we can confirm that Martin Short’s wife did pass away,” Kuznetz said in a statement. “We do not have any other comment to make.” The announcement came two days after the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call for emergency medical help. LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey said they received a call from the Shorts’ Pacific Palisades home on Saturday. E! News reported that Dolman had been battling cancer since 2007.
Dolman and Short were married in 1980, eight years after they first met while performing in the musical “Godspell.” Dolman, who was also a Canadian comedian just like Short, retired from acting in 1985 and decided to become a fulltime homemaker. Dolman and Short have three children–Katherine Elizabeth, Oliver Patrick, and Henry Hayter.
