McDonald’s toys set to fetch thousands of pounds at auction

A collection of McDonald’s memorabilia, believed to be the largest assortment in the U.K., is expected to fetch thousand of pounds at auction.

Around 7,000 toys, boxes and posters from McDonald’s Happy Meals from between 1990 and 1999 were put on exhibit yesterday before going under the hammer in Lincoln.

It includes a rare complete set of 101 Dalmatians figures in their original packaging, from around Christmas 1996.

Terry Woodcock, owner of Unique Antiques, where the sale is taking place, said he felt the McDonald’s memorabilia was: “the most unique collection that’s ever been on the market.”
