Michael Jackson Video Game in the Works
Video gamers would soon have the opportunity to do the moonwalk along side Michael Jackson. Ubisoft Entertainment announced on Monday that it is in the early parts of creating a Michael Jackson music-based video game for control-less consoles like the Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect and Sony Playstation Move.
The game will allow players to emulate Jackson’s dance moves to the tune of some of the King of Pop’s biggest hits. Although the full list of songs has yet to be finalized, Ubisoft marketing executive Tony Key said “Beat it” and “Billie Jean” are sure to be included in the game, which would also be made for Nintendo’s Wii.
The dance moves will be based on Jackson’s popular music videos, but Key said there will be no full reenactment of the late singer’s full videos. Players will earn points every time they perfectly emulate Jackson’s moves, similar to previous dance-based video games. The game is expected to be released late this year in time for the holiday shopping season.
