Mother of Teenager Sues Tyra Banks Show
The mother of a fifteen year old girl who appeared in The Tyra Banks Show as a self-confessed sex addict has sued the show for letting the girl to become a guest in the program without her consent.
Beverly McCledon, who claims that she is the biological mother and legal guardian of Jewel Ciera Washington, filed the case in an Atlanta federal court. She is looking for three million dollars in damages. She said that she did not know that her daughter will be appearing on the show, and for that particular topic.
Washington flew from Georgia to New York unaccompanied to attend the show. She was picked up in a limousine at the airport and was put in a hotel. Sources say she got paid for her appearance.
Warner Bros. Entertainment has not yet given any response or comment regarding the issue.
The show has actually ended its run this summer after being on air for five years.
