Premier League: Arsenal vs. Stoke City
Arsenal vs. Stoke City: Arsenal will be cautious heading into this match as they have already lost to Stoke City once this season, in the FA Cup fourth round. And in their only previous Premier League visit, last term, they lost 2-1.
Shocked by defeat in Portugal in the Champions League encounter with Porto, the Gunners will be looking to get back to winning ways. This game is also a chance for Arsenal to go back within two points of Manchester United, and also record a third EPL victory on the spin.
The Potters, who are aiming to extend their unbeaten run to 12 matches in all competitions, will be without Abdoulaye Faye, who is suspended. But Salif Diao has pushed his claim for a start after coming off the bench to score his first league goal in seven years by netting the winner last week at Portsmouth.
The match kicks-off at 17:30 GMT.
UPDATE: The Gunners beat Stoke City 3-1 to end the Potters’ 11-match unbeaten streak. The bad news is, a horrific injury hit Arsenal’s 19-year-old midfielder Aaron Ramsey. He appeared to break his ankle after a challenge from defender Ryan Shawcross.
