Premier League: Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur


Chelsea will put their 100% record on the line when they meet Tottenham Hostpur at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Blues have won all of their five Premier League matches since the start of the season, and currently sit at the top of the division.

Didier Drogba and Jose Bosingwa missed Chelsea’s midweek Champions League match through suspension but they will start today.

Drogba has admitted he is hoping for a place in the Stamford Bridge record books as he closes in on 100 goals for the west Londoners. The 31-year-old Ivorian striker has scored 98 goals for the Blues since his 24 million pound move from Marseille five years ago.

Meanwhile Luka Modric, Michael Dawson and Jonathan Woodgate are still out for Spurs because of injuries.

Game time is 4:00 p.m. BST (11:00 a.m. ET).

UPDATE: The Blues maintained their perfect start to the season as they defeated Tottenham 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Ashley Cole headed Chelsea in front and second-half goals from Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba completed the victory.
