Premier League: Manchester United vs. Arsenal
Arsenal will host Manchester United in a massive Premier League clash this afternoon, which is perhaps the biggest game of the season so far.
We are about to see yet another side of those fabulous displays of football, which will result in tears, cheers, agony and jubilation.
We cannot really make any prediction for this match as both squads are on outstanding form. The race for this year’s title has been so close so far and a victory for either side could see Chelsea usurped at the top.
The Red Devils are in second place in the EPL standings with 50 points while the Gunners are just one point and one place behind.
As Aston Villa, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool have continued to drop points, while the Blues, United and the Gunners are displaying unbeaten runs that have started to ease them clear.
Unfortunately, Sir Alex Ferguson will be without suspended defender Rio Ferdinand but that loss is balanced by Nemanja Vidic’s return from injury. Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner could make his first start for three months while Eduardo is sidelined with a hamstring problem.
It seems that the worldwide success of Avatar is starting a new trend in entertainment because this will be the first time a football match in England will be broadcast live in 3D.
The match kicks-off at 16:00 UK (11:00 a.m. ET).
UPDATE: Wayne Rooney scored his 100th EPL goal to help the Red Devils crush their title rivals 3-1 at the Emirates. Nani and Ji-Sung Park also scored in the game before Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen netted a consolation for the Gunners.
