Premier League: Manchester United vs. Burnley

Manchester United will have the great opportunity to return to winning ways as they host Burnley this afternoon.

It has been a poor start to 2010 for the Red Devils, as they were eliminated from the FA Cup and are still looking for their first victory of the year.

After last weekend’s stalemate with Birmingham City, they missed out on the chance to take the top spot in the Premier League. However, Patrice Evra insists that the way his side has stayed in touch with Chelsea despite several injuries is an indication that they will last the pace better than anyone.

The Clarets, on the other hand, have failed to win any of their nine away matches in the EPL so far this season, scoring just eight and conceding an astounding 29 goals.

Meanwhile, Darren Fletcher will miss today’s game after he was sent off for two bookable offenses at Birmingham last week and serves a one-match suspension.

The match kicks-off at 15:00 UK (10:00 a.m. ET) at Old Trafford, Greater Manchester.

UPDATE: Second-half goals from Dimitar Berbatov, Wayne Rooney and Mame Biram Diouf gave Manchester United a 3-0 win over Burnley to keep up with the pace at the top of the league.
