Premier League: Birmingham vs. Liverpool
Birmingham will host visiting Liverpool squad at St. Andrews for their Barclays Premier League match on Sunday, April 4.
The Reds are currently at the sixth spot in the EPL table. They will have to pull a victory on Sunday and add additional three points to be able to relive their hopes for a top four finish. They have collected 54 points this season, just 5 points shy from fourth placer Manchester City. If the Reds defeat the Blues on Sunday, they will close the gap from fifth-place Tottenham Hostpur.
Birmingham will still be without David Murphy (hamstring), Gary O’Connor (hip and thigh) and Lee Carsley (ankle and foot) because of injuries.
The Reds, on the other hand, might be without midfielder Alberto Aquilani due to ankle problem. Martin Skrtel (foot) and Fabio Aurelio (thigh) will definitely miss out the game on Sunday while Maxi Rodriguez is likely to join Red’s starting lineup after being ineligible in Europe.
It is worth noting that Birmingham are still unbeaten against Liverpool in their last seven top-flight games.
The match kicks-off at 15:00 GMT / 9:00 ET.
UPDATE: Liverpool lost more ground in the race for fourth place in the Premier League table as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Birmingham City.
