President Barack Obama: Bulls, LeBron James a Good Fit

Barack-ObamaIf LeBron James has the same views as President Barack Obama, then the NBA MVP could be wearing a different uniform next season. Obama has become the latest and the most important person to have his opinion about James’ future, saying in an interview with TNT’s Marv Albert that the Cleveland Cavaliers star could achieve success in Chicago.

“I will say this: (Derrick) Rose, Joakim Noah it’s a pretty good core. You know, you could see LeBron fitting in pretty well there,” Obama told Albert in the interview held on the White House basketball court. The interview will air on TNT on Tuesday.

Obama said James should have a coach who he respects and teammates who care about him, adding that if the NBA star does not get it in Cleveland, he might have to look “someplace else.” Obama said James’ situation in Cleveland is similar to the Bulls before Michael Jordan felt comfortable working with coach Phil Jackson and had confidence on Scottie Pippen and the rest of team.

James has not made it clear whether he will leave or stay in Cleveland, but speculations are ripe that he would opt out of his contract by July 1 after the Cavaliers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
