After Saturday’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, it’s now the turn of the producers. The Producers Guild Awards (PGA) was handed out Sunday, January 24 at the Hollywood Palladium.

What is the accuracy of the awards in terms to the Academy Awards? 13 films during the last 20 years that won Best Picture in PGA also won the Oscars. That’s 65%.

This year’s winner is The Hurt Locker making the race more difficult to predict. Locker won the Critics’ Choice Awards but the Golden Globe went to Avatar and the Best Ensemble in SAG went to Inglourious Basterds.

For television, Mad Men continued its streak while 30 Rock scored its first win after losing out to Glee in Globes and SAG.
