Report: Hilary Duff, Mike Comrie to Wed This Weekend
Hilary Duff and free agent NHL player Mike Comrie will tie the knot this weekend, according to celebrity news site In Touch Weekly.
A source quoted by In Touch said that the couple will get hitch at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California, a historic site as it is where the late President John F. Kennedy and wife Jacqueline spent their honeymoon more than 50 years ago. The source said Duff and Comrie chose the ranch for its “sense of old Hollywood glamour and romantic style.” The ranch is also ideal for small and intimate weddings.
Comrie, 29, and Duff, 22, got engaged back in February and they have been together for about two years. The couple have been secretive of their wedding plans although there were reports that Duff had been working out almost every day to prepare for her big day and that Comrie threw a bachelor party earlier this week.
Duff is best known for playing the title role in the TV show “Lizzie McGuire” in the early 2000s. She is also a multi-platinum album selling singer, with several hit singles to her name. Comrie, on the other hand, played for the Edmonton Oilers last season, but his contract ended in July.
