Roman Polanski Sodomized Me Says Ex-Model
About a week since Roman Polanski escaped U.S. prosecution for a 1977 rape case, another woman has come out to tell of her ordeal under the hands of the Academy Award winning filmmaker.
Edith Vogelhut, a model in the 1970s, said in an interview with Radaronline that Polanski drugged and raped her repeatedly one night in 1974 at actor Jack Nicholson’s house. According to Vogelhut, who is also a former editor of Glamour magazine, she was then 21 years old when she went with Polanski to a dinner party at Nicholson’s house. Vogelhut said she and Polanski were about to have sex after a night of drinking when he suddenly attacked her. “He grabs me by the hair, jerks my head up, snaps amyl nitrate under my nose [which when inhaled has a psychoactive effect] and enters me anally…I was anally raped repeatedly.”
Vogelhut filed a report with the police back in May, a few days since another alleged Polanski victim, British actress Charlotte Lewis, accused the director of molesting her when she was 16. Vogelhut said she came out only now because she was “humiliated” and was afraid that no one would believe her. “I had absolutely no one to tell and with this group that I told you about at this dinner party that ran Hollywood, they weren’t going to believe me.”
