Rowling Says More Harry Potter Books Possible
In an interview with media mogul Oprah Winfrey, celebrated author JK Rowling revealed something that Harry Potter series fans have been longing to hear for some quite time now.
Asked by Winfrey if she will still write books from the world of the famous boy wizard, the author said. “They’re all in my head still. I could definitely write an eighth, ninth, tenth. I think I am done, but you never know.”
The writer’s last main book for the series Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out in 2007 while an accompanying book in the series The Tales of Beedle the Bard came out in 2008. She has previously said during the time when the series has just ended that she does not intend to write an eighth book and if indeed she does, it would probably not be written in the next ten years.
The series has been adapted as a film franchise (the last book being split into two parts, the first one hitting movie houses next month) and has also spawned a theme park.
