Sarah Palin raising hairs again over doctored photograph

PALIN CABINET

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has once again made airwaves when she expressed distaste for an edited photograph that a blogger published on the web.

Palin’s outburst is shot at liberal Alaskan blogger Linda Kellen Biegel, aka “Celtic Diva“, who doctored a photograph of Palin holding her 1-year old son Trig, who is also suffering from Down’s Syndrome. Biegel superimposed the face of conservative radio host Eddie Burke over Trig’s face.

Biegel says that it was an effort to illustrate how close Palin and Burke really was, and not to make fun of Trig.

“Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child,” Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapelton told CNN.

Palin’s group is also using the fiasco as leverage for drafting better regulations against liberal activists.

Desecrated ? Iconic ?? Are they serious ??? That's the talk of someone that is not fully connected to reality.

Beyond that, it is political satire. The face of the child is not there so it cannot be be relating to him at all. It is entirely ridiculing the relationship between Palin and Burke. The folks in Alaska are well aware of the strange connection between the Governor and this rude, shock jock. The satirical image was on an ALASKAN blog. Everything was within context until a Palin supporter website (not Alaskan) saw the image and flew into a rage. THEY decided to take this image and plaster it all over the internet and without consulting Gov. Palin. They take great credit for having done the same with the Letterman fiasco. On their own site one of the posters announces that they did not ask the Governor's permission nor was it needed because they knew in their hearts what needed to be done

Sounds to me like someone's gone rogue and more than a little mavericky and is causing some serious trouble for Palin. Many folks on the net were stymied by the “iconic image” nonsense and decided to take up photoshopping for the day. The internet is now flooded with every imaginable photoshopped version of the “iconic image”. (A favorite seems to be one of Sarah holding little Meg Stapelton )

Somebody ( perhaps the Governor herself) should tell these folks to sit down and shut the heck up because they've turned June into a PR disaster for Sarah Palin. Many on the conservatives4palin.com website have announced that they are willing to lay down their lives for her. I suggest they might serve her better by just simply picking better battles.

“Palin’s group is also using the fiasco as leverage for drafting better regulations against liberal activists.” Please tell me that's a joke. If it is, it's very subtle. What happened to “less government”?

There seems to be some history between the blogger and Palin so perhaps there is a reason to take some offense to the photo. On the surface it is not offensive to Trig nor Sarah. However, if there is some other history between the the blogger and the governor, then maybe it could be taken as a personal affront to Sarah….trying to get her goat. that does seem to come out in the response of the Palin email from Beigel-…very immature and incendiary.

On trying to reign in the liberal activist? Yes, they are far more guilty of attacking and mean-spirited, incendiary statements that are very easily accepted as okay for the liberals to use but is never okay for the conservatives. In fact, they have put the conservatives on such a defensive that they are held to a much higher plane. So when you have one conservative fights back against the unbalance accountability of cross party attacks , liberals will certainly take offensive to this because they like the current set up where conservatives are in a moral box. One reason for this is that Conservatives speak of the importance of morals while liberals do not. Perhaps because they either are loose with them or do not want to be held to any. To be crass, they don't have any!
