A subarachnoid hemorrhage is bleeding at the base of the brain stem.
Representatives for Michaels confirmed to People Magazine Friday, April 22, that the lead singer of glam metal band Poison was rushed to a hospital after complaining of severe headache. The name of the hospital has not been disclosed.
The spokespersons will not divulge any additional information until test results are released.
Michaels recently had an emergency appendectomy early this month. He was also diagnosed with diabetes when he was a child.
