Socialite Casey Johnson in theft scandal
Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson was arrested in California on grand theft charges after reportedly burglarizing the home of supermodel Jasmine Lennard, a former girlfriend she used to hook up with.
According to a report from New York Post, Lennard returned to her Hollywood apartment from a trip to find various items stolen–jewelry, legal documents, shoes, clothing and even underwear.
Casey was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Monday in L.A. and is being held on $20,000 bail at a jail in Van Nuys.
The 30-year-old socialite is the great-granddaughter of the founder of the pharmaceutical giant and is the daughter of Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets.
Why do the rich ones need to steal? Apparently the biggest problem with being well-off is there’s nothing left to desire, except for, maybe, the possessions of other people.
