Sony Ericsson unveils the new Xperia X8!
Sony Ericsson has just launched the Xperia X8 in the Philippines and will start shipping today. The Xperia X8, which actually looks like a small Xperia X10 is more affordable at PHP 11,600. It will come pre-loaded with some applications including the McAfee® WaveSecure™, a protection service for mobile phones.
McAfee WaveSecure is a great feature because users can actually back up their phone data such as SMS, call logs, contacts and other multi-media into a secure server where it can be accessed, viewed and can be restored. In an unfortunate event that you accidentally lose your phone, WaveSecure can also track the phone through map locations and through a patented track SIM feature. There’s also an option to lock the phone or wipe all the data stored in it.
“McAfee WaveSecure proves that losing important information such as contacts, messages, photos and other data on your phone is preventable. It is the most advanced security and protection service available for mobile phones today,” said Dennis Manzano, Sony Ericsson General Manager.

The X8 comes with Sony Ericsson’s signature app, the Sony Ericsson Timescape. Timescpare chronologically shows the user’s latest SMS, emails, social network updates, photos, music and calls in a 3D scrolling menu.
