Soundgarden, Green Day Lead Lollapalooza Line-Up
After paying with fans in a guessing game, hangman-style, organizers of this year’s Lollapalooza have finally revealed the full line-up of artists who will play at the Grant Park in Chicago from August 6-8. Headlining the festival are recently reunited Soundgarden, Green Day, and Lady Gaga.
Soundgarden will be coming back about 14 years since they last played as a band in 1996. A year later, Soundgarden would disband. It was only early this year that Chris Cornell and the rest of Soundgarden decided to reunite. The boys of Green Day, on the other hand, have been having a blast with the success of their last two albums, with their latest 21st Century Breakdown winning this year’s Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards in January.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga will be coming back to Lollapalooza, but this time as one of the main acts. A still unknown Gaga graced the event in 2007, albeit on the smaller BMI stage. Today, Gaga is one of the biggest artists in the world, with several awards to her name from various award-giving bodies.
