Stephenie Meyer Novella Set for June Release
Can’t get enough of the “Twilight” saga? Fret not as author Stephenie Meyer is set to come out with a novella based on a character from “Eclipse.” “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” will be released in the United States and the United Kingdom on June 5, the novella’s publisher, Little, Brown Book Group announced.
Meyer said “Bree Tanner” was supposed to be a short story but it grew to 192 pages that it was no longer possible to include it in “The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide” as she had initially intended. The novella is told from the point of view of the character Bree Tanner, a newborn vampire, who will, incidentally, appear in the “Eclipse” movie that is also due to be released in June.
Fans can read the English version of the novella on www.breetanner.com starting on June 7 until July 5. Little, Brown said one dollar for each book sold in the United States from the first printing will be donated to the American Red Cross International Response Fund. The publishing company will release 1.5 million copies of the novella in its first printing.
