The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway was shown by Norwegian officials in the Internet with the title “The Prime Minter is Working at the Airport.” It has a picture of Jens Stoltenberg stranded in a New York airport busily doing his work in a recently purchased iPad.
Prime Minister Stoltenberg is one of the many thousands whose flights were grounded after a volcanic ash cloud from Iceland crippled flights in Europe.
In an interview with CNN, the Prime Minister said: “There are good means of communication, I have close contacts with my office all the times, and there are a lot of activities in Norway where we try to reduce the consequences of the volcano in Norway.”
He also said that it is very normal for a PM to travel abroad and use the internet and the mobile phones. He ended however with the statement, “I also use an iPad, which is excellent.” He used the device to keep in touch with his office back in Norway and to do his work.
He took a flight to Madrid, Spain, and is trying to get to his home country by land transportation.
