Terminator Salvation, the fourth movie in the Terminator series, grossed an estimated $13.4 million at the North America box office on Thursday, with $3 million in midnight sales alone.

In other words, the movie did alright. It’s not the record breaker Warner Bros. was hoping for but with figures like that, it’s very likely that the new Christian Bale flick will take the number one spot at the box office.

Starting today, Terminator Salvation will be fighting for box-office victory against Fox’s Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Paramount’s Dance Flick.
