Timbaland Denies Suicide Rumors

“Why would I commit suicide?” Thus asked Timbaland after TMZ came out with an article claiming that police were alerted of a “possible suicide attempt” by the super producer.

In an interview on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, Timbaland said there was no way he would commit suicide, although he admitted that he took a drive alone after somebody allegedly stole something valuable from him. “Only thing I did was take a drive and figure out how I’m gonna handle it,” he explained. “I wasn’t talking, so I guess people got worried. I tell people if my mom ain’t calling or my brothers or my best friend, ain’t nothing to talk about. … Now why would I commit suicide? I could buy what was stolen.”

Earlier, TMZ said Timbaland’s $2-million Jacob & Co. watch was stolen from his Malibu home. However, the 39-year-old producer denied that a watch was stolen from, but admitted that he indeed lost something. “Something did happen. That wasn’t a watch. It was something else.”

A police helicopter was reportedly sent to look for Timbaland after a missing persons report was filed at the Malibu/ Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station on Tuesday. Police found Timbaland driving his Escalade and he promptly returned home, reports said.
