Red Wings vs. Penguins Game 3 Stanley Cup finals

The Detroit Red Wings hold a 2-0 lead against the Pittsburgh Penguins going into Game 3 of the best-of-seven series tonight at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.

Detroit shut down the vaunted Pittsburgh offense in the first two games, winning both by identical 3-1 scores in the Motor City.

This is definitely the game that will tell the Penguins if they have any chance of overtaking the Red Wings and winning the Stanley Cup.

The home crowd tonight should be a huge advantage for them. And I am hopeful that the Pens can channel some of that Spitfires comeback karma to energize a rally of their own.

The game starts 8 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: Sergei Gonchar scored a go-ahead goal 10:29 into the third period to lift the Pittsburgh Penguins past Detroit Red Wings 4-2 in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals at the Mellon Arena.
