Manchester United vs FC Barcelona Live Stream UEFA Champions League Final 2011

Manchester United vs Barcelona Live Stream: FC Barcelona and Manchester United, the two biggest football clubs in the world, will be gunning for their fourth European Cup when they collide in the UEFA Champions League final this Saturday (May 28, 2011) at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.

United and Barca, the newly crowned champions of the England and Spain, will battle it out for the continent’s biggest trophy for the second time in three years, and the winner will join Real Madrid and AC Milan as the only clubs to win three titles in the Champions League era. The game is a rematch of the 2009 final that was won 2-0 by the Catalan giants in Rome and a chance for Lionel Messi to equal (or even exceed) Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of 12 goals in a single Champions League season.

The 23-year-old Argentine forward, undoubtedly the world’s best player, has been in excellent form for Barca in Europe, and some pundits believe that he already deserves to be ranked alongside football greats such as Diego Maradona and Pele. Messi’s partnership with David Villa upfront has been magnificent and one of the reasons for Barca’s success. However, the Red Devils have world’s stoutest defense, and United’s defensive unit can limit Messi’s performance by restricting his space.

Prediction: Iker the Octopus, the successor to Paul the Octopus, has picked Manchester United to beat Barcelona but I still believe Barca will win, 2-1.

You can watch Manchester United vs Barcelona live online on UEFA’s official website or at Foxsoccer.tv. Yes, they’re live streaming the event and you can catch all the action right in front of your computer if you’re willing to shell out a few extra bucks. STV.tv will also be showing a live online stream of the match.

Free live streams on pirate sites are often slow and unreliable, but you can still try your luck on Justin.tv or Hostream.net. Another option to watch the game live on the internet is by watching it on Elpsite, a Google Chrome extension, though I personally haven’t tried it.

UPDATE: Barca beat United 3-1 to earn their third Champions League title in six seasons. Watch the video highlights below:
