We love ramen!

Today, there seems to be a couple things college students care about when it comes to food – tasty and inexpensive. This infographic lays out some healthy tips and ideas on some good ol’ ramen recipes.

Ramen Spaghetti

Ingredients:

1 packet of Top Ramen
1 can of stewed tomatoes ($1.50)
1 can of tomato sauce ($0.20)

Directions:

In a sauce pan or pot, add both stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce and heat.
Drain all of the water from your ramen noodles.
Pour tomato mixture over your cooked ramen noodles.
Optional: you may add your Top Ramen flavor packet if you wish, but it’s healthier without.

Breakfast Ramen

Ingredients:

1 packet of Top Ramen
Sausage ($1.50)
1 egg ($0.20)
Salsa ($1.50)

Directions:

Cook sausage and scramble egg together in a pan on the stove.
Drain all of the water from your ramen noodles.
Add scrambled egg, sliced sausage, and salsa to cooked ramen noodles.
If your sausage is not pre-cooked, make sure you cook it fully before consuming.

Ramen Chow Mein

Ingredients:

1 packet of Top Ramen
1 can of mixed vegetables ($1.50)
1 egg ($0.20)
4 oz. packet of soy sauce ($0.60)

Directions:

Scramble of fry egg as preferred.
Drain all of the water from your ramen noodles, and mixed vegetables.
Add egg, mixed vegetables and soy sauce to cooked ramen noodles.

Baked Ramen

Ingredients:

1 packet of Top Ramen
1 oz. lime juice ($0.30)
2 oz. packet of soy sauce ($0.30)
1 tsp chili powder ($0.10)
2 green onions ($0.70)

Directions:

Combine lime juice, soy sauce, and chili powder together in a small bowl.
Break up ramen noodles and divide equally into 4 large sheets of foil; divide soy sauce mixture evenly over each sheet of ramen.
Add 1/3 cup of water to each ramen pile and wrap securely in the foil.
Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, or until fully cooked through.
While you wait for ramen to bake, chop green onions to desired size.
Pour your baked ramen into individual bowls, and top with green onions.

Dandelion Ramen

Ingredients:

1 packet of Top Ramen
As many dandelions as you can find!
1/2 onion, chopped ($0.40)

Directions:

Pick as many dandelion buds as you can find.
Clean dandelions as you would a strawberry.
Stir-fry dandelion buds and chopped onion until browned. You can also use any stir-fry appropriate sauce you may have around.
Drain all of the water from your ramen noodles.
Pour your stir-fry mix over cooked ramen noodles.
