World Cup 2010: Germany vs. Ghana Live Stream (Free Online Video)
World Cup Live Stream: Ghana and Germany lock horns in their final Group D clash at Johannesburg’s Soccer City in what could turn out to be one of the key games at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Europeans need three points against Ghana to advance, while a draw would be enough for the Black Stars to progress to the last 16.
The Germans thrashed Australia 4-0 in their opening match and have never failed to advance from the group stage. But now they need to rebound from a surprise 1-0 loss to Serbia which left Ghana atop the group with four points. A draw will only be enough for Die Mannschaft if Serbia fails to win against Australia.
Pundits have already made up their minds and are unanimous in their conclusion that Joachim Loew’s side will beat Ghana to restore some order back to this tournament.
Loew’s line-up against the West Africans will be relatively the same to the one he fielded against the White Eagles, minus Miroslav Klose up front who was sent off and will be serving a suspension. Brazilian-born striker Cacau will likely get his first start of the World Cup in his place.
“Right now I have a tendency that Cacau can play from the beginning but Gomez and Stefan Kiessling have also shown commitment and could be there from the start,” Loew told reporters.
The Black Stars have been the surprise package of Group D, beating Serbia in the opener and then earning a point against the Socceroos. While most of the team is made up of younger players, they do shoulder their responsibilities incredibly well.
The game starts at 20:30 CET (2:30 p.m ET).
UPDATE: Germany booked a round of 16 berth as Group D winners after a 1-0 win over Ghana.
