Zach Snyder Directs Superman Reboot


It has been officially announced that Zach Snyder (pictured) will be directing the reboot film for Superman. He will be joined by Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas, the team responsible for the box office hit reboot films for Batman.

“I feel awesome,” Snyder said with regards to his new project. “I feel super awesome.”

Snyder directed the films Dawn of the Dead, 300 and Watchmen. All of these films were given a rating of “R”. His fourth film, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, which is currently in theaters is the only exception.

Nolan is meanwhile the man behind critically acclaimed and box office hits Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Inception.

David Goyer will be writing the script. He also wrote for Batman Begins.

The Superman reboot film, currently titled The Man of Steel, is slated for a Christmas 2012 release. The actor who will don the cape has not been chosen yet.
